Do you judge your body?
How does it feel when someone judges you?
Think about it. When someone judges you harshly, it takes a moment to forgive that person. It's easy to shut your the heart to this person, at least for a little while.
So, what happens to your body when you judge it?
Do you ever ask it for forgiveness?
If you haven't been treating your body with kindness and reverence..it's time to start.
Your body is alive, conscious, and aware. It holds a powerful wisdom connected to the Earth and to the Divine. It is your sacred temple. It houses your soul. The relationship you have with your body will determine whether you have a long, happy, pleasurable, and abundant life.
Forcing it to look a certain way, criticizing it, resenting it, neglecting it, over obsessing about it, or judging it will only hurt you. By judging your body you literally lose energy, youthfulness, vibrancy, peacefulness, health, magnetism, joy, and opportunity.
The negative thoughts you feed your body bring illness into your life - an illness that can flood your body and your spirit. The key to a beautiful, enjoyable life is to have a healthy relationship with yourself and that begins with your body.
Learning to listen to your body with love and patience is the first step. It has a lot to teach you.
Speak to it.
Ask it what it needs.
You might hear it respond. "I need you to be kind to me".
As with any relationship, cherishing the other person makes the relationship nourishing and fun. It is also important to know when to humbly ask for forgiveness when you do something to harm the other person. Through the act of forgiving, the relationship can become even closer and healthier.
The same goes with the relationship with your body. It deserves your forgiveness, and perhaps it's time you apologize to it.
