On Retreat!

Come for Retreat!

Unplug from the cacophonous modern world. Fill your senses with the sounds and sights of nature: open, rolling fields, starry nights, bird call, fresh air, and a chorus of frogs or crickets. We offer a place with no WiFi, no television, no air conditioners. We also offer an acre's garden where your can sink you hands and feet in fertile soil, taste great vegetables and savor vibrant flowers.

On the weekends, guests come to get-away from the urban life and have time to visit with each other, visit Gettysburg, enjoy a camp fire and take walks or runs along quiet country roads.

We are now offering a mid-week special focused on connecting with nature in the garden. The special includes three nights (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) a tour of the farm, opportunities to help in the garden, fresh produce and plenty of free time to write, paint, hike, swing in the hammock or simply rest and refresh. One guest weeded for hours; another picked a fresh fig and the perfect tomato." Still another wanted "grunt work," and spent hours mucking out the cow's stall.

Prices vary depending on whether you are renting a small or large room or the whole house, coming during the week or spending the weekend. Visit //www.airbnb.com/rooms/14449926.

The retreat house has a spacious master bedroom with table, sitting area and queen-sized bed, and two smaller bedrooms, one with a single bed, and one with a double bed. It also has a queen-sized air mattress that can be set up in the family room on the ground floor.

Guests have access to a meditation area, a dining area, the kitchen and two porches. Walk to the pond or to the crest of the hill. Ride a bike along country roads or travel by car to Gettysburg, which is only 20 minutes and 10 miles away.

The leaves are coming!

The farm receives about 2,000 bags of leaves a year from the two local towns. We open the bags to add organic matter to our gardens. Come help us on Mondays and Tuesdays!
