A Perfect Time to Make Elderflower Champagne! June 10 at 5:00 p.m.

Posted 6/9/2017 5:18pm by Sally Voris .

The recipe for elderflower champagne in The Biodynamic Food & Cookbook by Wendy E. Cook says, " The flowers should be picked when fully open, preferably on the day of the full moon."

I am inviting farm circle members (it is easy to become a member) to join me in the garden and the kitchen for a demonstration of how to make elderflower champagne at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10. This stuff is delicious, inexpensive, so elegant and soooo easy! Space is limited. Register here.

Bring two lemons, a gallon of spring water, and a pot big enough to hold a gallon of liquid. The liquid is then strained and bottled on Sunday evening. I am offering to buy Grolsch bottles for a batch of the champagne. (Order here.

After the demonstration, we are inviting circle members to join us around the fire circle for an informal potluck meal and sharing. Bring musical instruments if you choose.

Full moon in June with elderflower champagne! What could be better? Well, maybe the Barn Dance next Saturday night!

Hope you will join us!
