Taste of Salsa: We enjoyed a summer evening of dancing and feasting at last night's Taste of Salsa. With our harvest of potatoes, we enjoyed three kinds of potato salad, three bean salad, a blackberry cream pie, baked beans, and a variety of other dishes--as well as elderberry punch with ginger ale. Michael Campbell again taught, demonstrated and danced salsa as barn swallows swooped behind the barn. We were blessed with clear blue skies and a vivid orange sunset. Thanks to all who made the event such a great summer event!

Global Sisterhood: The next gathering of the Global Sisterhood will be at the farmhouse, 5009 Teeter Road, on Saturday, August 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. The theme will be Leo: Radical Visibility: I am fearlessly, authentically me!  After the gathering, we plan to have a potluck. The event is free, though we do ask for donations to support refugee women. Please RSVP.

Lots of Potatoes! We now have about 800 feet of potatoes left to dig--the ground is too wet to use the tractor and the potato plow, and if the ground stays this wet, the potatoes will rot. So if you, or someone you know, would like to dig potatoes, please come by Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday morning or Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday evening. We ask that you join the White Rose Farm Circle as a trial member ($5.00) and we would welcome a donation to the farm.

Quiet time is starting....

Hazel is back! She is pregnant and due midwinter. Our thanks to Leah Mack, at whose farm Hazel and Daisy spent the summer with a virile bull.  Now we want to find Daisy, a pure-bred Jersey, a new home. She is pregnant and due mid-spring. Interested? Please contact me. Thanks. Sally
